6th Annual Navajo Day

Three tribe members from the Navajo Reservation, Monument Valley, Utah, will give talks during the presentation on Navajo lifestyle and religious beliefs. Performances will feature Navajo drum and flute, powwow dance, and singing of traditional and contemporary Navajo songs. Refreshments, including authentic Navajo tacos, will be served.

Professors’ Works Featured at Gallery Exhibition

The public is invited to “Wind Fall” an exhibition by Carianne Mack, Tunxis assistant professor of fine arts. Twelve large-scale oil paintings will be on exhibit by Mack with 100 watercolor drawings, a daily series she completed over the course of 100 days as a summer project. n conjunction with the exhibit, 100 daily poems by Steve Ersinghaus, Tunxis associate professor of English, will be on view, which were inspired by Mack’s 100 watercolors.
