Student Photography Exhibit & Opening Reception

Fourteen Tunxis Photography students display their work in an exhibit at the Barnes-Franklin Gallery May 17-June 3 with an opening reception on May 17 from 4-7 pm. The works were created throughout the spring semester for “Photographic Image Development,” the capstone course for the associate’s degree and certificate in photography.

Short Film Festival

Tunxis is hosting a Short Film Festival on May 14 at 6 p.m. in Founders Hall. The screening is free and open to the public, and Connecticut filmmakers are invited to submit their short video/films for the competition.
Cash prizes will be awarded in the following categories: Drama, Comedy, Documentary, Animation, Best Submission by a Connecticut High School Student, and Best Submission that Highlights Cultural Heritage. The deadline for entries is April 30.
Submissions must be on DVDs and should be no longer than 20 minutes in length.  The submission fee is $10 for students and $20 for all others. Proof of student enrollment and/or Connecticut residency must be provided. Please send submissions, along with contact information and check payable to Patrice Hamilton to Tunxis Community College, 271 Scott Swamp Road, Farmington, CT  06032, Attn: Patrice Hamilton.
