Tunxis Stage Presents “The Real Inspector Hound”

Playwright Tom Stoppard’s comedy “The Real Inspector Hound” will be presented on November 19 & 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Founders Hall.
An English country house murder mystery farce, the one act play runs approximately 80 minutes and is suitable for all ages. Cast includes: Jim Revillini as Moon; Derek Guibert as Birdboot; Jacqui Denski as Mrs. Drudge; Jeremy Boucher as Simon; Tasya Abbot as Felicity; Elizabeth Coffey as Cynthia; Bernard F. Sniadack III as Magnus and Christian J. Torres as Inspector Hound.
Tickets cost $5 and can be purchased in advance at the Tunxis Information Desk beginning November 3rd or at the door on the performance evenings.

“Ride to Success” Fundraiser

Clean Energy Day at Tunxis

Environmental contamination issues and clean energy alternatives will be the focus of presentations featured at Clean Energy Day at Tunxis on Tuesday, November 16 at 10 am in Room 6 -127.  Presenters include: Judi Friedman, chair of People’s Action for Clean Energy, Inc. (PACE); Marnie Carroll, director of environmental studies program at Dine College in New Mexico;  Rita White, a recent grad of the environmental studies program at Dine College; and Rob Hadley, Ph. Opening Reception for Sculptual Installation at Barnes-Franklin Gallery

Carnegie’s “The Gospel of Wealth” Topic of Discussion

Tunxis assistant professor of history, Rafaele Fierro and librarian, Rachel Hyland, will participate in a  panel discussion on Andrew Carnegie’s  “The Gospel of Wealth”, an essay which examines the responsibility of the wealthy including infusing the business world(and  self-made millionaires) with a new sense of philanthropy. Professor Bob Brown will serve as moderator and panelist. Sponsored by The Tunxis Humanities Athenaeum, this discussion is free and open to the public.
