Workshop Offers ECE Classroom Strategies

Tunxis hosts “Guiding Children’s Behavior: Using Proactive Strategies When Dealing with Challenging Behaviors” a workshop designed for early childhood educators which offers specific classroom strategies to respond firmly and positively to children whose behavior is challenging. Participants will learn ways to help improve a child’s self-esteem and to help them regain control and be successful. Meet seven visitors from the Luiseno, Mojave, Zune and Taos tribes for a presention on their culture, traditions and history on Tuesday, March 1 from 10:00 – 11:20 a.m. in Room 6-127. Exhibitions will include paintings, basketry, jewelry and singing/dancing. Pueblo-style refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public.
