Tunxis offers over 60 associate degrees and certificates within the broader categories below.
Allied Health – Provides the skills and knowledge necessary to function effectively as an integral member of the dental health team.
Arts + Media – Degree and certificate programs in graphic design, visual fine arts, photography, interactive media, and more.
Biology (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Biology at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Business Administration– You will learn the skills that all companies need to grow—including accounting, ethics, finance, law, management, MIS, and marketing.
Business Office Technology – Prepares students for positions as administrative or executive assistants. The curriculum provides a knowledge of office administrative procedures, business practices, and liberal arts.
Chemistry (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Communication (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Communication at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Computer Information Systems – Take advantage of high demand for employees in the rapidly-growing computer information systems fields. Programs are developed in response to industry needs, with career opportunities in networking, programming, technical support, systems analysis and more.
Criminology (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Criminology at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Criminal Justice – Students gain the skills and knowledge to effectively and efficiently perform the duties of entry-level criminal justice personnel.
Early Childhood Education – Provides students with the skills and competencies necessary to work effectively with young children, birth through age eight, in the field of professional childcare and education.
Energy Management – A unique two-year technical training program that prepares you for a rewarding career in commercial building energy analysis and energy management.
English (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in English at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Engineering + Technology Studies – The College of Technology curriculum prepares students for technical positions in the workforce.
English as a Second Language – Prepares students whose native language is not English to acquire skills of reading, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking needed to continue their college studies or function in the national or international job market.
General Studies – Offers a quality academic program with a broad selection of courses drawn from a wide range of disciplines. Provides students with a foundation for life-long learning, transfer to a four-year college or university, and the pursuit of career opportunities.
Human Services – Prepares students to work in the broad and diverse field of human services, a profession developing in response to and in anticipation of the direction of human needs and human problems in the 21st century.
History (transfer) –  A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in History at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Liberal Arts + Sciences – Provides a comprehensive two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in an area of the liberal arts and sciences, or who wish to explore an area of intellectual interest.
Pathway to Teaching Careers (transfer) – Under this articulation agreement with Central Connecticut State University (CCSU), you’ll start preparing to become a teacher. Students may transfer their credits to Central Connecticut State University.
Mathematics (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Political Science (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Political Science at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Psychology (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Psychology at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Social Work (transfer) –  A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Social Work at one of the Connecticut State Universities.
Sociology (transfer) – A two-year undergraduate education designed to meet the needs of those who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree in Sociology at one of the Connecticut State Universities.

Pathway to Teaching Careers
Dual Admissions – Start your degree at Tunxis and finish at Central, Eastern, Southern or Western Connecticut State University.
Engineering + Technology Studies – Transfer articulation agreements enable Tunxis engineering science program graduates to transfer their credits to accredited engineering programs at the University of Connecticut, Central Connecticut State University, University of Hartford, Fairfield University, and the University of New Haven. Students who have met all admissions criteria receive automatic junior status upon transferring to these universities. The minimum GPA for guaranteed acceptance is 3.0.
