EMT Basic 2016

Offered in cooperation with Bristol Hospital Office of Emergency Medical Services and the CT Department of Public Health. The curriculum prepares you to take the exams to become nationally registered and state of Connecticut certified at the basic level. Lectures, demonstrations and hands-on training provide the knowledge and skills required for certification. Students must complete the 10 clinical hours with Bristol EMS. There are no prerequisites for this course, but you must be at least 16 years of age.

February 10 – May 23 (M/W); 6-10PM
Plus select Saturdays, 9AM-2PM
Fee: $750 (includes text, CPR manual, and stethoscope)

EMT Accelerated Summer Program 2016
CHECK IN March for the summer 2016 class (MWF); 9AM – 3 PM

Please be advised that if you have been convicted of a felony, you may not be eligible for clinical experiences, internships, externships. or certifications associated with certain allied health courses or programs. Those with previous convictions may also find it difficult to secure employment within a health care/EMS setting.

Long term EMT training is intensive in nature and will require a commitment of time and energy on your part. It is your responsibility to make time in your life to successfully complete the course and pass all certification requirements.

EMT Basic Refresher 2016

This program is accelerated over four days to fast track your re-certification process.

March 3 – 6 (Th/F/Sa/S; Th noon – 4:00 PM, F/Sa/S 8AM – 4PM Fee: $275

Spanish for Emergency Medical and Health Care Professionals

This six week, 18 hour workshop will provide you with essential medical terminology and conversation tools to help you communicate with Spanish-speaking patients and their families. The content curriculum is developed in partnership with Bristol Hospital EMS, llc, and will be presented by a Hartford City Fire fighter who holds Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Certificate Technician, Schedule: T B A
