Veterinary Assistant Program
(Approved for WIA Funding)
Gain the knowledge and skills as you train for an entry-level position as a veterinary assistant. Vet Assistants work in a variety of settings including animal hospitals and clinics, animal shelters, laboratories and zoos. They perform front office functions; assist in providing routine and emergency care, perform laboratory procedures, assist in dental and surgical procedures, and taking x-rays. Navy blue scrub top must be worn to clinical experience.

- Veterinary Clinical Experience – 24 hours (in addition to classroom time below.)

Course fees are payable at time of registration. No written confirmations are mailed. You are assured of a place in class unless notified otherwise; attend the first class as scheduled.

Registration form and payment information (checks/money orders made out to Tunxis Community College) must reach us at least one week prior to the start of the course.
