The public is invited to “Eye Candy,” prints and drawings by Jenni Freidman, Sept. 2-Oct. 1 in the Wallace Barnes and Barbara Hackman Franklin Art Gallery at Tunxis. The opening reception is Wednesday, Sept. 9 from 5-8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

“Continuing to be inspired by flora and recently by sweets and treats, the palette of my work shifts from muted tones to vibrant hues,” said Freidman. “These prints and drawings are the evidence of a conscious journey and search for happiness in my life and work,” she continued. “My mother taught me long ago, that it is better to give then to receive. So these are for you. I hope they bring you joy.”

Freidman is an assistant professor at University of Hartford’s Harford Art School. She makes prints, drawings and limited edition books under the name of Stone Dragon Press. Freidman holds a master of fine arts in printmaking and resides in West Hartford.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and by appointment. For more information, call 860.773.1974 or email Arthur Simoes at [email protected].
