“Shadow Tessellations,” a recently completed collaboration by Christine Dalenta and Benjamin Parker which combines paper folding and photographic techniques, will be on display Oct. 21-Nov. 6 in the Barnes-Franklin Art Gallery.

Dalenta, who is an instructor of photography at Tunxis, graduated from the University of Hartford with an M.F.A. in photography. Parker has taught origami at conventions and libraries for several years and specializes in folding geometric patterns as a fine art form. His new book, “Six Simple Twists: The Pleat Pattern Method of Origami Tessellation Design,” is scheduled to be published in 2015.
