The public is invited to “Gateway Crossing,” an exhibition of abstract paintings by Zbigniew Grzyb, March 1-31 in the Wallace Barnes and Barbara Hackman Franklin Art Gallery at Tunxis. An opening reception with refreshments will be held Thursday, March 3, 5-8 p.m.

Grzyb was born in Poland and earned his master’s degree from the Academy of Fine Art in Krakow. In 2001 he was the recipient of a grant from the Pollack-Krasner Foundation. His paintings have been shown at museums and galleries including the National Museum of Poland, Landmark Gallery in Tarrytown, NY, Real Art Ways in Hartford, and the New Britain Museum of American Art. His work is included in the Connecticut Artists Collection and other public and private collections. He resides in Farmington.
