The public and college community are invited to “#BlackLivesMatter: The Making of a Movement,” on February 17 at 10 a.m. in Room 6-127. Guest speakers are Anita Ford Saunders, APR, director of Marketing Communications for United Way of Central and Northeastern Connecticut, and Beatrice Fevry, chief executive officer of Bella Hispaniola Enterprises, LLC, and Tunxis adjunct instructor of Accounting.

Both speakers will help foster meaningful conversations about the quality of black lives in America in 2016 and the power of social media to spark and sustain sociopolitical movements.
