Tunxis Community College invites the community to submit short video/films for a competition culminating in a screening of winning entries at its 4th Annual Short Film Festival in Farmington. The deadline for the competition is March 21. Cash prizes will be awarded for winning entries, which will be shown at the screening on April 25.

Films of 20 minutes or less may be submitted in the following genres: comedy, drama, documentary, animation/FX, high school student film, sci-fi/horror, and commercial/PSA. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning films. Submissions must be on DVDs, with an entry fee of $10 for students and $20 for all others.

The competition will be judged by members of the student Media Club at Tunxis, which is sponsoring the event. For more details on how to enter, call Patrice Hamilton, the club’s advisor, at 860.773.1643 or email [email protected]. Entry fees by check should be made payable to Patrice Hamilton.
