Tunxis Library invites the community to “Dreamweaving 2: The Craft and Art of Revising Your Novel,” the next in a series of free writing workshops presented by author and editor Adele Annesi on Saturday, Oct. 6, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in Tunxis Library Room 7-206.

Seating is limited, so registration is required.  Email [email protected] to reserve a spot.

The workshop is designed to help emerging and established writers revise their first novel. The seminar includes instruction on the dream-storming technique pioneered by Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Olen Butler, author of “From Where You Dream,” with overview, handouts and in-session revision exercises. For best results, participants should bring their current long fiction project.

Annesi is an award-winning editor of online content and book editor specializing in memoir, culture and business. Formerly a development editor and writer for Scholastic Publishing, Annesi writes columns, reviews and stories for newspapers, magazines, blogs, and literary journals, including Southern Literary Review, where she served as managing editor. Annesi’s “After the Sunflowers” essay is part of the 2011 Clarion Award winning Press Pause Moments: Essays About Life Transitions by Women Writers, and her flash fiction has been adapted for the stage. Annesi teaches the Art of Editing and Writing courses, and is currently working on a novel and series of short stories set in Italy.
