Paintings on View at Tunxis’ Barnes-Franklin Art Gallery

The public is invited to “In a Vacuum,” an exhibition of paintings by Blake Shirley in the Wallace Barnes and Barbara Hackman Franklin Art Gallery at Tunxis Community College August 5-26.

About 20 acrylic and oils will be on display, individually referencing many styles and genres. Shirley has exhibited his work nationally and internationally in solo and group exhibitions, and received a 2010 Artist Fellowship from the Connecticut Commission on Culture & Tourism. He holds an M.F.A. from the University of Connecticut and resides in Manchester.
