Tunxis Community College invites the community to “Behind Closed Doors: Juvenile Court in Connecticut, an Honest Discussion of Child Abuse and Neglect in Our State,” on Thursday, April 9 at11:30 a.m. in Founders Hall.

Legal practitioners from juvenile court will present a behind-the-scenes view of what constitutes abuse and neglect, how a case proceeds from initial filing to disposition, and how it is defended. Panelists will include former Assistant Attorney General Sherelyn Labowski and Attorney Scott Sandler. The discussion will be moderated by Angela Fierro, M.S.W./J.D., Tunxis lecturer in sociology and political science. For more information, email Fierro at [email protected].
