Tunxis Community College will hold its 39th Commencement on Wednesday, June 2 at 6:30 p.m. Tunxis President Cathryn L. Addy, Ph.D., will give the keynote address to the graduating class.
“Commencement celebrates the culmination of years of hard work and dedication,” said Addy. “The academic achievements we are celebrating have prepared our graduates well for new opportunities that lie ahead, whether they continue their education or pursue professional employment.”
Approximately 408 associate’s degrees and certificates will be conferred upon 355 students at graduation. Valedictorian for the Class of 2010 is Jennifer Vincent of Eastford. She will receive an associate in science degree in general studies. The Salutatorian is Bunni Schile of Windsor, who will receive an associate in science degree in visual fine arts: photography. Both students will present speeches at graduation.
