Tunxis Community College will hold its 47th Commencement on Wednesday, May 30 at 6 p.m. More than 460 graduates are expected to receive associate degrees and certificates.

Valedictorian for the Class of 2018 is Danielle Dalena of Unionville, who will receive an associate in science degree in liberal arts and sciences. Salutatorian is Arielle Pease of Bristol, who will receive an associate in science degree in visual fine arts. Both will present speeches at graduation.

U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and Mark Ojakian, President of the Connecticut State Colleges & Universities, will also address students at the ceremony.

Commencement will be held at Central Connecticut State University’s Welte Hall Auditorium.
