Tunxis Community College will offer “Plumbers 2013” a new one-day continuing education course for P2 and J2 plumbers starting in March.

The course, which fulfills credit requirements for maintaining a plumbers license as required by state law, is offered from 8 a.m.- 1:15 p.m. at Tunxis@Bristol, the College’s Bristol facility, on the following dates:  March 2 (Sat.); March 22 (Fri.), April 26 (Fri.), April 27 (Sat.), May 10 (Fri.) and May 31 (Fri.).

The course includes gray water recoveries, NFPA 58, rainwater harvesting, combustion air, state regulations, OSHA and other topics, and is approved by the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection. Tuition for the course is $85.

All plumbers in Connecticut must attend continuing education according to their license type every two years. For 2013, P2 and J2 plumbers must attend a five-hour course.
