The Academic Success Center offers FREE individual and group tutoring to Tunxis students. Our trained peer tutors and professional staff specialize in tutoring math, developmental English and English as a Second Language. Depending on the semester, the ASC may provide tutoring in other courses.

- Need more? Walk-in sessions are offered on a first come, first served basis and are subject to tutor availability. Check with the front desk staff for information.

Monday-Thursday 9 a.m. – 5:45 p.m.
Fridays 9 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.

Students interested in a space to work independently on assignments or study in groups can visit the Algebra Lab, Reading and Writing Lab, Composition/ESL Lab, and Accounting Lab on campus. Staffed by tutors and faculty, they provide students with less individual assistance than one-on-one tutoring in an open lab setting. Students can drop in without an appointment. Hours for labs may be subject to change.
Math Anxiety got you down? Need someplace where you can work on Algebra homework and ask questions? Come to the Algebra Lab, located in the 300 building, room 302. Just drop in, no appointment necessary. Open to students in Prealgebra, Introductory, Elementary, and Intermediate Algebra. Check the Algebra Lab page for hours and more information. Reading and Writing Lab
Looking to change your old, unsuccessful reading and writing habits? Stressed about writing your essay? Come to the Reading & Writing Lab, a supportive, peaceful setting to get help with improving your reading and writing skills. For students in Introduction to English (ENG 096) and First Year Experience (CSS 101). No appointment necessary (except on Fridays). Hours are posted at the R&W Lab, Room 300 in the 300 Building. Composition and ESL Lab
Located in the ASC, room 6-109, the Lab is for students enrolled in Composition, Composition II, ESL Reading and Writing IV, V, VI and any other credit-bearing course (history, literature, philosophy, etc.).
