Social Work Studies

Social Work Studies students who complete their degree at Tunxis are guaranteed admission into CCSU, ECSU, SCSU, WCSU, or COSC. Admission into the Social Work programs at CCSU, ECSU, SCSU, and WCSU is competitive and is not guaranteed. Students interested in completing a degree in Social Work at each of these schools must apply for admission into the program and must meet GPA, course, and other requirements.

Certificate in Human Services

Provides organizations with a means of offering education at a post-secondary level to employees who seek theoretical understanding of the duties they perform as well as new skills that will lead to job advancement.

Certificate in Family Violence Intervention

Designed to provide a general background in family violence that will provide students not yet in the field with the basic knowledge and skills that would be of special value to social-service agencies.

Human Services: Family Violence Intervention Option Degree

Provides the student with a broad knowledge base through core classes in Human Services, and with the knowledge and skills essential to working with perpetrators as well as victims of abuse.

Human Services Degree

Prepares students to work in the broad and diverse field of human services, a profession developing in response to and in anticipation of the direction of human needs and human problems in the 21st century.
