Students in the Business Administration Program are strongly advised to take a lead on their academic career. First, you should develop an individual plan of study based on your long term college and career plans. This should be developed with your Business Administration Advisor – who should be a BA full time faculty member.

Business Administration Club

All students in the Business Administration program are strongly encouraged to become active members of our BA Club! Membership is free.

Career Services

Business Administration students are encouraged to register in our online employment database, Virtual Job Shadow. To use the database you must have an email address and should also have your resume and cover letter approved by Tunxis’ Career Center prior to uploading them to the site. Employers list new positions on Virtual Job Shadow every day, as well as search the site themselves for potential candidates. Students and Alumni and also view hundred’s of video to explore experiences regarding potential careers, colleges of interest, and create a career plan.  Once you register in this database you will receive email notices about jobs and related events. To register at Virtual Job Shadow, visit the Tunxis logon page.

All students completing their BA degree at Tunxis Community College will complete and present an ePortfolio through Capstone or Practicum.  An ePortfolio is wonderful tool to showcase your coursework, experience and extracurricular activities when you apply for a job or to a four year institution.

Internships/Career Resources

One of the cornerstones of our business program is the ability to get to apply your classroom education with real-world experience. We encourage all of our BA students to complete an internship or practicum in their final semester.
