Kappa Beta Delta International Honor Society

Tunxis’ Business Administration program was awarded a local chapter of the Kappa Beta Delta (KBD) national business honor society (http://www.acbsp.org/?kbd); our chapter is known as the Delta Beta chapter. KBD is an outstanding honor for our business students with a GPA of 3.5 or greater who have earned at least 30 credits (6 credits of which have to be business related classes).

Only two year colleges that have obtained accreditation by ASBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools & Programs) are eligible to establish a KBD honor society. There are approximately 2,000 two year colleges in the US, and less than 10% of them have the ACBSP accreditation.

Tunxis’ inaugural KBD induction took place in May 2016: http://site.tunxis.edu/podcasts/2016/05/04/business-students-inducted-into-kappa-beta-delta-national-honor-society/.  We honored 16 students and 6 BA alumni at this wonderful event.
