The Student Lounge is open Monday – Thursday from 1-5 p.m. by appointment only. Please email Student Activity Director Chris LaPorte at [email protected] if you are interested in making an appointment to see him. Face masks and social distancing are required when in the lounge.

Tunxis has a virtual New Student Orientation site which students are strongly encouraged to view. These videos serve to answer questions and inform students of the many resources available at Tunxis. Following the videos is a virtual scavenger hunt where new students can participate in a contest to correctly identify answers to a series of questions embedded within the videos. Gift cards will be awarded for correct responses.  For details, see the orientation: https://tunxis.edu/orientation/

The student Government Association has a “Virtual Student Lounge” Blackboard page where current and future events are posted. All students can access this page via mycommnet, then under “Blackboard.” Most event signups will appear to the left of a given announcement. Most announcements will appear like the following Earth Day  Announcement.

As we look to increase virtual programming activities for Tunxis students, the Student Activities Office is forming a student committee to brainstorm ideas and create events. Please email Chris if you would like to be involved at [email protected].
