This course is designed to prepare individuals to work as a caregiver in the home setting. You will train to provide basic care skills to clients according to the skill criteria for nurse aides in the state of Connecticut. The content includes: assisting with activities of daily living, infection control, common chronic diseases, emergency care, caring for the entire person, household chores, escorting to appointments, companionship, reporting significant health changes, importance of communication, environmental hazards and safety, ethics and personal rights.
