Discover the music of Israel, klezmer, Yiddish theater, and major Jewish composers in “Music of the Jewish Soul,” a free performance and discussion with celebrated mezzo-soprano Dr. Monika Krajewska on August 6 at 7 p.m. in Tunxis Cyber Café.

A special preview of the new “History of Jewish Music” course taught by Krajewska this fall at Tunxis, the concert will feature performance and discussion of music of the ancient synagogue, the shtetl, Yiddish theater, opera and Broadway, Kurt Weill, Leonard Bernstein and more.
