No need to go to the Post Office for your passport.  You can apply right here at Tunxis Community College.

Documents needed to obtain a United States passport:

Application – First-time applicants must complete form DS-11 (available online at travel.state.gov or onsite)

Evidence of Citizenship – First-time applicants (or if you passport expired more than 5 years ago, or you were under 18 when you received your first passport) must also provide a long birth certificate, a naturalization certificate or a consular report of birth abroad

Form of ID – State issued ID, driver’s license and a copy of the ID (front and back)

Passport Style Photo – Passport compliant photo

• Have a photo taken at the fair. Photo services will be available for $15

Payments – Checks or money orders only.  No credit cards accepted on site.

• One check or money order for the passport application fee of $110 (routine services, 4-6 weeks) or $170 (expedited services, 2-3 weeks) made payable to the “US Department of State”
• A second check or money order for the $35 execution fee—add $15 for a photo if needed—made payable to the “Hartford Public Library”
