Part Time Lecturers – Non-Credit Courses

Tunxis Community College is developing an applicant pool for possible part-time lecturers, which may become available in the next academic year. The following list identifies Continuing Education programs offered at the college.

Medical Assistant Instructor

Position Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the medical assisting or nursing field

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), RN – proof required

Teaching experience preferred but not required

 Medical Administrative Assistant Instructor

Position Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience in the medical assisting or medical administrative assistant field

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Administrative Assistant – proof required

Teaching experience preferred but not required

Phlebotomy instructor

Position Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience in phlebotomy or health related field

License or National certification – proof required

Teaching experience preferred but not required
