How do I browse library materials?
Schedule a half hour appointment.
- For current students, staff, and faculty
- Please use the provided hand sanitizer at the entrance of the library on your way in prior to browsing
- Please maintain social distancing when another patron is also browsing nearby
- Bring your Tunxis ID or CT photo ID in order to check out materials
If you want to scan materials you are checking out, please make a scanning appointment (MyCommnet login required)
How do I borrow/return?

- Schedule a one hour appointment
- Must be able to log in to mycommnet with your student ID and password
- Printing available

How do I make an appointment with a Reference Librarian for virtual research assistance?
How can I find digitized reserve items?
Only some items have been digitized and can be viewed online remotely.
How can I make an appointment for non-digitized reserve items?
- For non-digitized reserves make a reserve appointment and a scanner appointment, if desired
- Reserve items will only be handled by LIT staff
- Please provide title, chapter and page information or appointment time may be reduced
- Printouts of chapters are for in-library viewing only, may not be removed from library
How can I make an appointment to use the scanner?
- Schedule an appointment online
- Scanning is free
- Scan to a flashdrive, an email, or a printer
How can I reserve an in-library quiet single study space?
- Schedule a 30, 60, 90, or 120 minute appointment online
- Not for group study or live class participation
- Table, chair, outlet supplied
How can faculty and staff reserve the LIT lab?
- Schedule an appointment online
- Computer and scanner for self-directed use
- Tech support only online
How can faculty request a class session with a librarian?
