Tunxis Community College Foundation invites the public to “Change—the Ultimate Driver of Our Ability to Compete in the New Economy, Boardroom and Community in the 21st Century” at its Annual Economic Conference and Networking Breakfast on November 17, from 8-10:15 a.m. at the Hartford Marriott Farmington.

Proceeds from the breakfast will support scholarships and projects for students at Tunxis Community College in Farmington.

The keynote speaker is Vanessa Williams, founder and CEO of Leading Edge Consulting, a global executive coaching firm with offices in Connecticut and Florida. Williams has an international background with experience in executive coaching, women & diversity leadership coaching, leadership advancement, operations leadership, strategic business planning, and change management. Williams works with executives, business owners, and C-suites to identify strategic goals and to build and engage high performing collaborative teams.

Before founding Leading Edge Consulting, Williams was a managing director for Horton International, a retained global boutique executive search firm. She also held senior level and C-suite positions leading executive global teams for Sun Life Financial, Prudential, MassMutual, Aetna, and UConn Health. She holds a master’s degree in management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Williams sits on the Board of Trustees for Easter Seals, The New England Air Museum, and Amistad Center for Arts & Culture. She is also on the Advisory Board for Reginald F. Lewis College Business Alumni at Virginia State University.
