Credit Registration for the fall 2019 semester is in progress at Tunxis Community College in Farmington. For information on how to apply and register, contact the Admissions Office at 860.773.1490, or visit tunxis.edu/apply.

Tunxis offers more than 70 associate degrees and certificates that prepare students for transfer to four-year degrees and transition into the workforce with such programs as advanced manufacturing technology, accelerated business administration; criminal justice; early childhood education; energy management, engineering; graphic design; liberal arts and sciences; pathway to teaching careers, and technology. Those who seek the flexibility of learning off-campus can enroll in online degree and certificate programs.

Tunxis Transfer Ticket associate degrees provide seamless transfer and a low-cost pathway to a bachelor’s degree at the Connecticut State Universities and Charter Oak State College.

Financial aid and payment plans are available for those full- and part-time credit students who qualify.

Continuing education registration is ongoing, offering career training for professions such as certified nurse aide, registered medical assistant, phlebotomy technician, pharmacy technician, central sterile processing, veterinary assistant, certified medical administrative assistant, massage therapy and patient care technician. A Health Careers Open House will be held August 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the 700 Building hallway for those interested in learning more about preparing for these career fields. Some programs are approved for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding through the Connecticut Department of Labor. Certified dislocated workers and those receiving SNAP assistance may also be eligible for scholarships and tuition waivers for many continuing education programs.
