Tunxis Community College is offering Motorcycle Rider Education courses this fall in cooperation with the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Office of Highway Safety, required for applicants to obtain a new motorcycle license.

Spots are still available for the Tunxis classes in September and October, and can be completed in as little as three days or two weekends in East Granby, Fairfield, Farmington and Stratford. Motorcycles are provided.

Those who wish to sign up for motorcycle courses should hold a driver’s license or motorcycle permit and be physically able to operate a motorcycle. Students who successfully complete the course may also be eligible for a 10% insurance discount.

For more information or a schedule of classes, call the Tunxis Motorcycle Safety Program at 860.773.1446, or visit tunxis.edu/motorcycle.
