Tunxis Community College will hold its 46th Commencement on Thursday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. Over 450 students are expected to receive associate degrees and certificates.

Valedictorian for the Class of 2017 is Hanae Bouazza of New Britain, who will receive an associate in science degree in business administration and certificates in accounting and finance. Salutatorian is Melanie R. Gould-Geddes of Plainville, who will receive an associate in science degree in graphic design. Both will present speeches at graduation.

President Cathryn L. Addy, Ph.D., will provide remarks on her 23rd and final Commencement ceremony at Tunxis before retiring. Commencement ceremonies will be held rain or shine in the Tunxis courtyard. Tunxis Community College is located at the junction of Routes 6 and 177 in Farmington.
