Tunxis Community College Foundation invites the community to “Dueling Pianos—Music and Song for Scholarships, the continuation of a series of celebrations commemorating the college’s 50th anniversary, on May 21 at 6 p.m. outdoors under the seasonal pavilion at Tunxis Country Club.

The evening will feature a cocktail reception, silent auction, and live performance by Upscale Dueling Pianos performers Steve Laureti and David Ross.

During the piano dueling show, the duo will also sing on stage and entertain the audience with an extensive playlist including the music of Billy Joel, Elton John, Journey, Frank Sinatra, and more.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together to support Tunxis students and programs, make a meaningful investment in our future workforce, and enjoy some time together outdoors with great music,” said Cindy Bombard, president of Tunxis Community College Foundation.

Sponsorship levels and program book ads are still available. Tunxis Foundation and the event venue will follow the most up-to-date COVID-19 safety protocols issued by the Department of Health.

Tunxis Community College Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization led by an executive director and managed by a board of directors. The Foundation’s mission is raising funds for Tunxis Community College and its students, with a focus on scholarships, special learning projects, the arts and student veterans.

The evening is among a series of rescheduled events from 2020 celebrating the 50th anniversary of Tunxis Community College’s opening in 1970.
