Tunxis Community College offers Motorcycle Rider Education courses in cooperation with the Connecticut Department of Transportation’s Office of Highway Safety, required for applicants to obtain a new motorcycle license.

Classes are still available this summer and can be completed in as little as three days or two weekends in East Granby, Fairfield, Farmington and Stratford. Expert instruction is offered to both the beginner and the experienced rider. Motorcycles are provided.

Those who wish to sign up for motorcycle courses should hold a driver’s license or motorcycle permit and be physically able to operate a motorcycle. Students who successfully complete the course may also be eligible for a 10% insurance discount.
