Tunxis Early Childhood Center children are shown greeting student veterans at the end of the procession.

Children from the Tunxis Community College Early Childhood Center were joined by others on campus in celebrating Tunxis student veterans with parades in the morning and afternoon on Veterans Day. As one of the parents sang the National Anthem, the children walked across campus carrying flags and photos of veterans to the Veterans’ OASIS where they greeted and thanked student veterans.

Tunxis currently has over 245 veterans on campus, a number that is expected to grow. For more information on how to donate funds for Tunxis veterans, call 860.773.1357. Those who would like more on veterans benefits for education at Tunxis can call 860.773.1423 or email [email protected].
