Starting this summer, eligible students are able to apply their Pell Grant money to summer courses at Tunxis Community College in Farmington, as a result of a new provision in the federal Pell Grant Program.

Students who register part-time for summer courses may be eligible to use federal Pell Grant funding to help pay their tuition. Those who are interested in determining if they may be eligible should complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form online at fafsa.gov. The TCC Financial Aid Services Office can also answer questions at 860.773.1422.

Tunxis has an upcoming five-week summer session that runs July 9-August 9. For information on how to apply and register, contact the Admissions Office at 860.773.1490, or visit tunxis.edu/apply. To view summer courses online, visit tunxis.edu/summer.

Students who attend other colleges may enroll in courses at Tunxis and transfer the credits earned during the summer to their baccalaureate or associate degree programs.
