Tunxis Community College awarded prizes for four short films at its 3rd Annual “Short Film Festival” on April 20.

A screening of the short films celebrated the winning entries of the film competition, sponsored by the Tunxis student Media Club.

Winners are listed below with town of residence, category they won, and short film title:

Kristen Conaty, (town), Best Drama: “The Years”

Nicholas Dethlefsen, (town), Best Documentary: “The Hartford Hospital Fire”

Samantha Dowd, (town), Best Animation Film: “Jack’s Story”

Rashawn Vassell, (town), Best PSA
