Spanish Studies

    This program is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in Spanish language and culture. The coursework within this program will provide you with an understanding of the principles of the Spanish language and will develop the four basic skills of language learning: listening, speaking, writing, and reading.    Your learning experience will be enhanced by cultural studies through an array of activities.  You will be able to cultivate a vast knowledge of the Spanish-speaking world’s linguistic diversity through comprehension of Spanish in a variety of regional and social situations.       Tunxis offers a variety of courses for students wishing to learn the French and Italian languages and about each country’s history and culture.        For students who plan to transfer to complete the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts degree in French or Italian at one of the four Connecticut state universities or Charter Oak State College, enrolling in the college’s French Studies or Italian Studies Transfer Ticket degree pathway program is a good choice. By entering this program, students are able to start their course work at Tunxis and take advantage of its high-quality instruction
